Hurston implements the literary device tone throughout her book “Their Eyes Were Watching God.” Her tone give the reader an understanding of life lessons. She wants the her people to change as they need to quit dwelling. As well as learn to be actionable about their race and gender.
2.) Anne Applebaum, my precis paper columnist, uses plenty of logical evidence with extensive evidence which leads to another one of her strengths. The concept of inductive reasoning is using factual evidence to support a theory or prediction and Applebaum uses this process to give the people some insight on national to global news.
Using process analysis give the author space to fully develop their center of attention. And benefit of this procedure is the reader can follow her thought process effortlessly. Applebaum uses this strategy to allow anyone who is reading her paper to comprehend and understand the situation.
Another device Applebaum uses is foreshadowing. She give the reader factual detail and then give insight for future actions by these officials. Her understand of the past helps the people in the future as they can prepare for certain events.

5.) In Quarter 2 of AP Lang I learned important aspects about what makes a person and how some people perceive said person. The most meaningful might have been Steele’s “On Being Black and Middle Class” because he uses personal experience to advance his argument that many details may influence perception. Rodriguez's was the section I wish we had skipped (“Blaxicans”) because his definition of identity was too extreme he believed in your own ideas exemplify your culture, though it may be true his ideas were too radical. I am not very excited nor dreading anything in quarter 3. My goal for Quarter 3 is to be ready for the test and passing it.
